Western Australia’s steel fabrication and welding partners
Western Edge Engineering is a team of fully qualified sheet metal fabricators, boilermakers and welders providing high-quality work for clients throughout the North West.
We’ve been based in Exmouth since 2020. From humble beginnings as a two-person show, our team has grown significantly each year. We’re now up to eight full-time employees and a roster of trusted, qualified subcontractors.
Meet the Managing Director
Lee is a trade-qualified boilermaker and coded welder with a background in heavy fabrication and welding across many industries. He also holds a CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector certification, and has over five years of experience in estimation, planning and project management.

Visit us at home in the Mid West
In late 2023, we moved into a brand-new 500m2 workshop with an adjacent 500m2 laydown area. Most of the heavy lifting happens here. The state-of-the-art space gives us room to work on big projects so we can better serve the mining, oil & gas, marine fabrication and construction industries.
Mobile service unit
Our fully-equipped mobile unit supports regional and remote clients with on-site repairs and maintenance, installation, commissioning and site works. We have the tools and expertise to provide trusted on-site support services in the Pilbara, Mid West and Gascoyne.
That includes marine fabrication & Welding, mining operations in remote areas, and even offshore Vessel repairs.

Western Edge Engineering is a full-service partner. We collaborate with our clients to become an extension of their team. Our goal is to deliver seamless, safe and trusted services across the project lifecycle.
We didn’t develop an end-to-end offering by accident. From design to engineering, fabrication, installation, repairs and project management, we take pride in solving problems that others can’t.
